I have always been lucky enough in my life to adore my day to day job, but nothing compares or even comes close to being a Mum! I think I do a great job. Both of my children are self confident, yet not cocky nor arrogant. They are smart, clever, funny, sharp but above all they are kind. I have always said I don’t care what grades you get, as long as you have given it your very best shot!
Being a mum can be hard but take every day as it comes & you will do just fine!

Talking more about Self Care & what I love to do to take a few minutes out from day to day life, I thought I would look at what products i use to help me unwind and relax. Here are a few things I recommend:
1. Good skincare
You can’t beat a good skin care routine, whether it be face, body, hands, there is nothing better than slathering yourself in rich, beautiful creams to suit your skin. Feel nourished, moisturised and pampered! My fave brand for Skincare has got to be La Mer.
Their moisturisers visibly smooth, plump and soothe fine dry lines leaving you feeling hydrated and renewed.
2. A nice warm bath & essential oils
I absolutely LOVE having a bath with essential aromatherapy oils to really relax my body and mind.
3. Surround yourself in beautiful fragrance
I can’t think of anything better than to light some candles and switch off! My favourite treat for lovely fragrance around the house and even at work is Jo Loves.
Scented candles are my ultimate go to. Nothing else compares to Jo Loves or Jo Malone!

There is nothing i’m more passionate about (other than my kids of course!) than HAIR HAIR HAIR. It is so important to not spend more time loving yourself, but also taking time to LOVE YOUR HAIR!
Lived in, sexy, feminine low key hair will always be my thing but it always has to have the element of ‘undone sexiness’ about it and of course GREAT COLOUR is essential!!
As for #SelfHairCare products, I like clean hair but with support and/or a good finish. Products such as Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray is THE best dry texturiser EVER!!
Your hair will go from L to XXXXXXL with just a few sprays in the right place! I love that stuff!

As it is the month of LOVE, I thought it was a great time to discuss the importance of Self Care and putting YOU first! Loving yourself!
In all my years it has taken me so long to master this, but you just have to learn to say NO! It took me a long time but I now I find it much easier to balance my life.
I also love QUIET! Quiet time is essential for a sound mind offering clear thinking time. I learnt how to breathe properly and it makes me laugh typing this because we all know how to breathe right? Even so, i find that sitting quietly and focusing on deep rhythmic breathing really works for me.
Do you struggle to make time for yourself? Don’t feel guilty about it, but try to set a goal by spending 30 minutes a week in silence, with a book or even writing down your goals. It is amazing what a bit of ‘Self Care’ can do for the mind!

Holiday Hair can be totally gorgeous or it can be hell! Firstly, around now, we are all jetting off on our holidays and often wonder DO we get our hair coloured before we go or when we get back?! This is probably THE most asked question I have.
I always say the same – WHO wants to go away with Naff Hair? And so, getting your hair done before you go isn’t the issue its more about what you do with it whilst your away!
Whether you’re a blondie, a red head or a brunette, the sun will still hit the hair all the same and so I offer the following advice…
RULE 1 is to try and keep your hair protected throughout the day – get a good old hair mask and lavish it on. Whack your hair up in a bun and leave the mask in all day! Sun / Heat expands hair slightly and so the mask will penetrate hair even better so you’ll have super moisturised locks by the end of the day.
OR if you’re a pool Babe – that mask will be washed out in and instant! So if this is you I would make sure to always re-apply. There are also tonnes of UV sprays for hair nowadays so protect away!
THE most important thing when you come in at the end of the day is SHAMPOO the rubbish out! Most people think the conditioner is the key but it’s not! So a good detox shampoo then a nice thick luxury hair mask! If you find a hair mask too heavy then use its equivalent in a milk or a crème/mousse. The important thing is the combination of both the detox and the moisture!
I’d make the Hair Salon your first visit on your return home. Post holiday treatments are BIG and IMPORTANT.

Eh voila – holiday done good… to be honest in most cases I LOVE what the sun does to the colour I just inhale at what it sometimes does to the condition.
