Guess what’s back? I’m ecstatic to RE-introduce you all to the permanent wave. It’s not quite as it was so don’t run for the hills, it’s most gentle, super temporary and it may just become every big hair wannabe’s BF. Root Gels, to be more precise used to be my absolute favourite in the 80’s but using them now in conjunction with current hair needs is an ideal way to get necessary and needed root lift. Since the massive surge over the last few years of FREEHAND colour/Balayage, we all seem to have lost that much needed root lift. Fresh colour will always give you body, but now with root stretched colour we have NO colour in the place we need it most – HENCE – the much needed return of the body perm! And YES it can be done on coloured hair. Great perming is all about preparing the hairs porosity first THEN and only then the right strength of perm will work in harmony and not over dry.
