Make my style versatile

“I’m still getting used to my new bob, but I’d like to make it more versatile – is there anything you can suggest for styling options, such as evening looks so that I can look a bit different?!”

I’m a great believer that any length and style can be as versatile as you want it to be. Look at Dannii Minogue! She literally has the bob that rocked the nation. She wears quiffs, waves, curls and sleek looks that recreated her look every episode. So why not take inspiration from the nation’s most versatile brunette and mix it up a little? Not just for the evening, but for a daytime look too!

A strong look right now for all hair lengths is the wave. Whether your hair is naturally wavy or you need a little help from a few products or heated appliances this look is gorgeous worn day or night. For a super glam 1920s starlet look for the evenings invest in an electric waver and some clips to hold your look while it cools. Wave the hair in sections, making sure to line up tour waves each time and use the clips to pin each wave at the front as your hair cools. To finish, why not use a shines spray like Clynol Style Finish Hairshine Shine Spray (£6.90 300ml) for a glossy Hollywood look?

For the more tousled, beach babe look why not try a curling cream like Clynol Style Shape Twist Curl Cream (£7.50 150ml)? It’s quick and easy for those days when you’re a little bit short on time. Simply apply to towel dried hair scrunch and leave your hair to dry natural. The lightweight formula gives the hair a fantastic spring creating gorgeous waves and curls.

Finally, for a super glam evening look try the curly quiff. Separate the top section of hair and using a curling wand, start curling in sections from the front making sure that the hair on the back and sides is clipped out of the way. Once you have curled all of the top section of the hair mould into your quiff, making sure that the hair is coming forward to one side and spray into place. The rest of your hair on the back and sides is now to be gripped back behind the ears and voila.... An uber chic quiff!

When using heated appliances on the hair always make sure that you use a heat protection spray like Clynol Style Shape Flatter Thermal Protector Spray (£10.00 300ml) to prevent damage and breakage to the hair.  Happy styling!
