Summer hair tips

1. For ultimate beach look, leave your hair to dry naturally from the sea, don't brush or comb, simply scrunch as drying naturally for the best beach babe hair.

2. Home care is essential, invest in great UV protectors as you would with your skin, Kerastase Soleil do a wide range that will tailor to your every need.

3. Less is more on holiday. The scruffy pony is a super cool beach look and works great on all long hair.

4. Accessorise, invest in some great hair scarves and bands, they will dress up even the tiredest beach hair.

5. Chlorine removal shampoos are essential, especially on blonde hair, you dont want your lights going green now!

6. If you do find your blonde hair goes a tad khaki from too much chlorine in the pool, then an old wives tale still works a treat, tomato ketchup will neutralise the green tinge left by too much chlorine.

7. You may find your blonde hair looks a wee bit brassy after your hols. Blue pigment shampoos are a great way to neutralise yellow tones. Clynol Reflex shampoo is a great one!

8. After sun is essential for your skin, so too for your hair. Kerastase Soleil do a great after sun mask that will put back in what the sun has just taken out.

9. The ultimate chic hair do for long beach hair this year is the side plait, and if your feeling even more creative try the fish tail one.

10. Cloud 9's The O is a must have takeaway this year. Avoid long drawn out blow-drys in sweltering temperatures. Simply blast off, whack the clever little Velcros in and let them do the Cheryl Cole blow-dry for you.
