The Super Bowl
Who's got it? Agyness Deyn.
Why we love it: Forget the pudding bowl, it's the eye-skimming, ear-covering length that makes this surprisingly wearable. 'It's like the Purdy, as in Joanna Lumley's character in The New Avengers. It was modern then and it's modern now,' says Adam Reed.
Who it suits: This isn't about face shape, it's more about changing the style to suit your face. 'Beth Ditto had a bowl cut but, because she has a round face, she had an asymmetrical fringe cut in to make it work for her. It looked great,' says Adam.
Wear it with: Big lashes and lacy blouses.
Don't go there if: You've got curly hair, as it would require a lot of styling, 'especially in the UK where it rains a lot. You could end up looking like Dot Cotton!' says Adam.
Styling tip: Apply Shu Uemura's Tasai Cream, £21.50,before drying hair to add texture.

The Fash-Lob
Who's got it? Cheryl Cole.
Why we love it: The nanosecond that Cheryl ditched the long Barbie hair for this sexy, layered long bob she got a whole lot cooler. Started by Gwyneth and adopted by Anne Hathaway, Cheryl and star of Avatar Zoe Saldana, Cole's new style is a rockier version for 2010. Who it suits: Obviously Cheryl's flawless heart-shaped face is the perfect canvas for the Fash-lob but it looks great on anyone. 'This is the Farrah Fawcett hairstyle of our time. Slightly square and boxy in shape, it's got just the right amount of curl but still looks strong and chic,' says Adam. Wear it with: Power shoulders and sequinned leggings. Meow!
Don't go there if: You've never seen a pair of curling tongs. It's not a daily requirement but to get the most out of this look you need to be prepared to do a bit of styling work. Styling tip: For a tousled look, prep hair with a styling spray, like Tigi Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost Spray, £10.50. Comb hair in a low side-parting for extra edge.

The Slim fast (Or Soft Shag)
Who's got it? Lily Allen.
Why we love it: It's THE cut that's got everyone talking. Why? Because its soft, choppy qualities make it ultra face-slimming. Who it suits: If you have a round face and thick hair, the soft, feathery layers make cheekbones stand out, eyes look bigger and it slims and softens features. 'It's all in the cut as it's shorter in the front and longer at the back and everything looks slightly torn,' says Luke Hersheson. 'If you get it right it requires minimal styling.' Wear it with: A simple T-shirt, jeans and an embellished blazer.
Don't go there if: Well, actually, this can be adjusted to suit almost anyone. If you've got a small forehead, leave the fringe longer. If your face is slightly square, make sure the layers are more feathery, so it hides and softens the jawline. Styling tip: For an instant thickness boost -essential for this cut - use Redken Aerate 08 Bodifying Cream-Mousse, £14.25.
