Three Birmingham-based hair stylists took home awards last week at their company's AGM.

The three rising young stars - Katie Mulcahy, aged 25 from Stafford, Dale Hollinshead, aged 25 from the Jewellery Quarter and Luke Jennings aged 17, from Solihull - all work at the Lisa Shepherd Salon on Temple Row West.

The trio were presented with their awards by Lisa Shepherd herself at the salon group's annual general meeting which was held at the Hyatt in Birmingham.

Following a day of discussions about the plans for the salon group in 2011, the Lisa Shepherd team - which comprises of salons in Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Kidderminster and London - were presented with awards for outstanding achievement. 

Katie scooped the Stylist of the Year trophy, Dale was crowned Retail God of the Year and Luke won the coveted First Year Junior of the Year prize.

Lisa Shepherd said: "Katie, Dale and Luke have performed brilliantly over the past year and have been a real asset to the Birmingham salon. 

"Katie has a brilliant eye for both style and colour, Dale is fantastic in terms of his product knowledge and Luke is a star in the making having proved himself as a key member of the salon team.

"I hope that these awards inspire them all to continue to work really hard and build on their success and they may be scooping more awards next year!"

Katie Mulcahy added: "I am honoured to have won the Stylist of the Year Award, especially as it is a company award it is great to be recognised by your colleagues and Lisa herself!"
