 Your colouring options...

Permanent - Permanent colours are just that, so only use them if you're confident in the product and your colouring technique. They're great, however, if you want to cover greys or fancy a drastic colour change. 'if your going much lighter, always choose an ashy shade as lighting hair results in lots of yellow undertones,' explains Lisa. Not much has been going on in the world of hair colour for a while, but hurrah to hair guru John Frieda, who's launched a brand new foam hair colour. Semi-permanent - If you want to go darker, semi-permanents are the best as they contain no ammonia and fade rather than grow out, making roots less noticeable.

Temporary - For a splash of bright colour, try temporary, wash-out colour or fake, clip-in hair-pieces. My spies tell me Katy Perry's new beauty obsession is Stargazer hair extensions. She wore these pink and purple ones on X-Factorjust last week. Love'em!
