Lisa Loves - Do redheads really have more fun?

X Factor judge and nations sweetheart Cheryl Cole has started a new trend which is sweeping across Kidderminster.

After turning her luscious chestnut locks a fierce red, hair colour doctor Lisa Shepherd has seen an influx of ladies coming into her Town Mills salon asking for the 'Cheryl Cole'.

Lisa said: "To be honest Cheryl's new colour is finally growing on me. I wasn't overly keen at first as it looked so artificial and we are used to her looking so naturally gorgeous.

"I felt in her first interviews she still looked 'rooty', this happens when someone tries the "wash in" approach first. It's definitely been re-touched up since then and last Saturday I thought the colour looked way better.

"She then did her exclusive stage performance, and all of a sudden the length had been extended really badly in my opinion and it looked like rats' tails, hideous! I was shocked - I'm THE biggest Miss Cole fan!

"Colour wise it's a current autumn trend and one which will, and already has, taken off since Cheryl took it on. It seems to be filtering through to her contestants too, who I thought looked cool!

"I liked Rebecca's glam Jessica Rabbit look (but won't be at all shocked if that turns out to be a wig) and Treyc's under toning of red was spot on trend!

"From a client's point of view you have to be careful when going red, both in terms of skin tone and most of all because of fading. No matter who does your red it will always fade – so you have to be fully prepared to use a really good home maintenance program that will suit and maintain the tone."
